Diagram of Holdings
Appearance
Description
The diagram of holdings is a tree-like visual representation of a corporate entity. A corporate entity consists of a Parent company at the root of the tree, together with 0 or more subsidiaries. Each subsidiary can, in turn, own 0 or more subsidiaries and so on.
In the diagram of holdings, each node shows the following information:
- Company name.
- Market Cap.
- For subsidiaries, the percentage owned by the parent. Example: Suppose Company A is at the root of the tree and has a market cap of $1B. Suppose also that Company A owns 75% of Company B, which has a market cap of $100M. Then the node corresponding Company A would show Company A. $1B, while the node corresponding Company B would show Company B (75%). $100M.
The Diagram of holdings can be accessed from the following places:
- The Financials Panel.
- The Company Info Panel.
- Some actions in the Subsidiary Management Panel.
