Game Updates
Description
Whenever there is a new version of the game (and you have Internet connection), the text new version available. Click to update will be displayed at the bottom right corner of the screen behind the version number. By clicking on it, it will start the update process. If the update breaks saves from the current version, a pop-up will prompt you to confirm the update.
Once the update process is started, a new panel titled Updates in progress will be shown, which will inform you about the progress of the update, or if something goes wrong. At any time before the end of the process, you can cancel the update and go back to the Main Menu by clicking on the Cancel update button.
If the updating process goes through, you will be prompted to restart the game. Click on the Restart button to finish the update. It will close the game, and soon after it will restart.
Note for Windows users: in Windows, you will be prompted to open the the file GameUpdater.exe as administrator. Click Yes to perform the update.
If the game doesn't restart after a couple of seconds, the most likely cause is a permissions issue. Moving the application outside of the Downloads folder solves this issue 90% of the time (for more details, check the Troubleshooting page).
