New Game Settings

Description

Here, you can tweak some of the initial conditions for the game:

  • Initial cash (in $M): this is your starting money in the game. Choose a value between 100 and 1000. Default value is 100.
  • Number of initial companies: this corresponds to the number of industrial companies in which the player can interact. Choose a value between 100 and 1000. Default value is 100.
    • Notes:
      • There are no other insurance companies in the game as of now.
      • The actual number of companies at the start of the game may different due to bankruptcies of mergers since the game simulates 3 years of activity before starting the game.
      • New companies may spawn in later stages of the game is there are not many "public" (i.e., not controlled) companies.
  • Years to play: choose a number between 10 and 30. Default value is 20.
  • Corporate tax rate (%): The rate at which companies get taxed (on net income). Choose a value between 0 and 50. Default value is 20.
  • Company name: Self-explanatory. It cannot be empty. It can be changed later in the Management Panel. Default value is My Corp Inc.
  • Company symbol: A unique identifier for your company. Choose 1-4 alphanumerical characters. It can be changed later in the Management Panel. Default value is ABC.

After setting all the values, press confirm to start a new game, or cancel to go back to the Main Menu.
